Didcot Power Station with large smokestack.

Didcot Power Station, Oxfordshire

Colt supplied and installed 19 Labyrinth roof ventilators at Didcot Power Station for RWE Innogy plc. Each measured a huge 2.5m wide x 7.2m long, and was finished in a bamboo polyester powder finish.

Labyrinth is a compact, roof- or wall-mounted, natural louvred inlet and extract ventilator designed especially for industries which produce large quantities of heat and noise such as steel works, rolling mills, foundries and power stations. It has aerodynamically designed louvres to provide continuous weatherproof ventilation. Rainwater is collected within the ventilator and drained away via side channels.
