Climate control system maintenance

We can carry out proactive service and maintenance on any existing climate control system, including natural ventilation, mechanical ventilation or hybrid ventilation systems. In addition to maintaining key equipment, including air conditioning and evaporative cooling units, we can also undertake surveys to understand your existing system and identify improvement options, whether that be raising ventilation rates or reducing energy demand and operating costs.

These standards, developed with the Smoke Control Association, require us to pass rigorous audits for the installation, service and maintenance of smoke control systems and fire curtains. Emergency servicing

If a fault occurs in your smoke or climate control system, getting an engineer on site as soon as possible is critical to limit disruption and potential costs. As part of our service contracts, we aim to get an engineer to your site within 4 hours to troubleshoot the issue. Our extensive spare parts service also means that where repair works are needed, we can quickly get the parts to the engineer and your system back in operation.

How we work

1. Initial survey and onboarding

Before starting your contract, we will conduct a free survey of your existing system and documentation. We will then develop a detailed quote highlighting any areas where works are necessary, or strategies need to be developed to ensure your building is compliant.

2. Scheduled inspection, management & support

Once the quote is agreed, we will establish a clear schedule for the ongoing inspection and service of your smoke and/or climate control system. As part of this, we can provide guidance to key facilities staff members to help them understand the different elements of the system and how these should be inspected.

3. Inspection visits

On each visit, our site engineer will confirm the scope of works. Wherever possible, we will look to assign the same engineer each time, ensuring they’re familiar with your system. The engineer will fully inspect the control panel and pneumatic systems, alongside performing electrical checks on motors. They will also assess all components, including ventilators, dampers, doors, and smoke curtains, to ensure proper operation. Once complete, our engineer will issue a pass certificate.

4. Repair works

If any issues are noted during your inspection, we will issue either ‘fail’ or ‘risk’ certification. We will then schedule a follow-up appointment as quickly as possible to address any issues. Our extensive spare parts service means we can often supply any parts immediately to engineers with no time spent waiting for back orders.

5. Emergency call-outs

If critical issues arise during routine operation or weekly inspection, we will aim to get an engineer to the site within 4 hours to diagnose the problem and get your system back to full function.

6. Management

All our contracts are managed through a central system, which is audited annually as part of our IFCC SDI 19 certification. This ensures we maintain a clear paper trail of system inspections and any works that have been carried out.
