Working with Colt
Our experienced louvre team can work with you to ensure seamless delivery on your project:
1. Initial Briefing – During your initial conversation with our louvre team, they will look to gain a clear understanding of your project and building designs, where and why louvres are required and any specific design or performance requirements that they may need to meet.
This can include:
· The dimensions of the area requiring louvres
· The levels of airflow rate and pressure drop
· Whether the louvres will interact with mechanical ventilation systems
· Any limits placed on noise transmission
· How exposed the louvres will be to external conditions.
· Any aesthetic preferences
2. Design Proposal – based on the information collected during the initial briefings, our design team will develop a proposed specification for your project. Our extensive louvre ranges offer a diversity of potential customisations, from different bank numbers and blade pitches, to an array of colour options. Using cutting edge modelling software, our designers can develop a proposal to meet your performance requirements. If required, we can also undertake further testing at our in-house facility to meet specific targets.
3. Manufacture & Delivery – Once a design is agreed, our louvre team can project manage the manufacture, delivery, installation and handover. The louvres will be manufactured at our state-of-the-art facility near Havant which is operated under a management system certified to leading international standards. Our louvre team will liaise with you during this process to confirm a suitable date for delivery. Where site storage is limited, we can provide scheduled just-in-time deliveries.
4. Installation – We offer a UK-wide network of approved subcontractors who are highly experienced in installing our louvres and can ensure a seamless fit and finish. We can also provide a range of technical support and guidance for project teams looking to undertake the installation directly.
5. Handover & Maintenance – At handover, our Louvre team will compile and provide a complete digital package detailing all the louvre solutions installed, any performance certifications and accompanying literature to support long-term maintenance. We can also offer dedicated service and maintenance packages for large projects to ensure louvres continue to perform effectively across their lifespan.

To support accurate and efficient installations, we operate a UK-wide network of approved subcontractors. Each subcontractor has undergone dedicated training and is subject to regular audits to ensure installations meet the highest standards. Together with our louvre team operatives, they can manage your project to achieve smooth and reliable installations. Our louvre team can also provide dedicated support and guidance for site teams undertaking their own installations.

Our louvre factory
Colt is proud to manufacture all our louvres here in the UK. We have operated a site in Hampshire since 1963 and our modern 70,000 sq ft factory provides dedicated production and in-house testing facilities. These facilities allow us to develop, manufacture and test louvre designs to meet a range of key performance requirements including weatherability, airflow and impact. The site is operated under a management system to leading international standards including ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 37301 (Compliance), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental)

Each design is available in a range of sizes, with different customisation options and finishes.
